Mahindra unveils five e-SUVs under two brands

Mahindra unveils five e-SUVs under two brands

23/08/2022

Mahindra & Mahindra is taking their EV product line up in a bold new direction with five new e-SUVs that will be launched in the coming years; with the first one set to arrive in 2024. The EV range is built on a brand new INGLO EV platform that has been derived from the Volkswagen MEB platform and will underpin these vehicles. Incidentally, Mahindra’s EV line up will be offered under two brands – the iconic XUV line up and the new BE (born electric) line up. Let’s take a look at these five upcoming EVs.

XUV.e8

Set to launch in December 2024, the XUV e8 is a sharp looking machine that boasts of cutting-edge technologies on board and will be offered with an intelligent all-wheel drive system that is in line with Mahindra’s heritage of offering great off roaders. The XUV e8 will come with a sophisticated cabin and driving dynamics that are touted to be rather exhilarating.

XUV.e9

Taking the design language of Mahindra SUVs and combining it with the lines of a coupe is what the XUV e9 is all about. It is a sporty looking machine that will make its debut in April 2025. Targeted at a premium audience, the XUV e9 boasts of a panoramic sunroof, high-end features, and a plush cabin.

BE.05

Mahindra likes to call this one their Sports Electric Vehicle offering! It is touted to be a standout machine that will establish a category of its own. The BE 05 has a race inspired design and will make its debut in October 2025.

BE.07

The BE 07 is a large SUV targeted at families. The vehicle will offer a first-class experience on board and will be a versatile machine with configurable profiles. It will make its debut in October 2026.

BE.09

The fifth offering from Mahindra’s EV range will be an SUV grand tourer with a chiseled design, solid stance, large size and will only offer seating for four! It will be their flagship e-SUV model and currently the company has not revealed the launch date for this product.

Incidentally, the INGLO platform, which these e-SUVs are based on, offers a series of capabilities. This includes fast charging options, ultimate vehicle dynamics, class-leading safety, high output up to 395 PS and 0-100 km/h times between 5-6 seconds!
